The Tribunal provides financial assistance to help clients who have been the victim of or have witnessed a crime with counselling expenses, medical expenses, loss of earnings, loss/damage to clothing and other expenses. Special Financial Assistance (a lump sum payment for significant adverse effects suffered) is also available in some cases.
Wightons provides assistance to victims of crime at no cost to our clients. The Tribunal pays for all legal fees incurred in processing the application in addition to any entitlements awarded to the applicant.
